Prereq.: BMS 306 or BMS 307; or permission of
the department chair.
For entering graduate students. Introduction to the
structure and function of DNA. Emphasis on approaches
currently being used to analyze the expression of genes.
Examination or regulated gene expression and its
relationship to cellular growth and differentiation.
Three hours of
lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week.
This is a bridge course with BMS 495. No credit
given to students with previous credit for BMS 495.
